RULES AND INFORMATION

Deposit:
A deposit of $500.00 is required with this application form. Fifty percent ($250) is refundable prior to December 31, 2011. Full payment is due on or before the first day of camp to be eligible for discounts or special offers. If full payment is not received by the first day of camp, tuition shall be charged at full price and the entire deposit ($500) is non-refundable. There are no refunds of any kind after December 31, 2011. In the event that a child’s registration is cancelled, Camp Na’aleh will permit families to transfer paid balances to other members of their family in lieu of a refund.

Fees: In addition to tuition, each child registered for Na'aleh must pay a $135 Habonim Dror membership fee.  The fee entitles your child to take an active part in a variety of activities, both educational and social, during the school season. The purpose of these activities is to increase your child’s awareness of her/his Jewishness, of the importance of Israel to world Jewry, and to produce for him/her an active Jewish social life. All Na’aleh campers must be members of Habonim Dror.

Kupa
: Kupa is a cooperative fund collected separately by the camp to cover the cost of camper-selected parties or trips, toiletries, and various extras. The suggested amount is $100 per session that a camper will be at camp and $60 for a two week session. Parents should feel free to contribute what they wish. Payment may be made by separate check to Camp Na’aleh — "Kupa" should be written in the lower left-hand corner— or paid with tuition. Kupa payments are due at the same time as tuition.

Medical Form: All campers must be seen by a physician for a physical examination within the 8 months preceding camp. The camp medical form must be completed in its entirety, and must include a copy of the family’s insurance card. The form must be signed by a parent and physician and submitted to Camp Naaleh no later than the first day of camp. Should Camp Na’aleh not receive the form by the first day of camp, campers will not be permitted to attend camp until we receive the completed form.

Dietary Restrictions: Camp requests that in the event that your child has a major dietary restriction, i.e. Gluten free/Celiacs, a conversation must take place prior to camp between you and our Rosh Mitbach (head of the Kitchen) about the specific needs.  It is also recommended that you send your child to camp with an initial supply of food to fit their dietary restrictions.

Payment: Payment may be made by personal check, bank check, money order, or credit card. Credit card payments may be made through our online registration. If paying by check, make all checks payable to Habonim Dror Camp Naaleh.

Payment Schedule: After the initial deposit, 50% of the balance is due by Dec. 31, or 60 days from the date of any 2012 registration. The remaining balance is then due by or before May 31, 2012. Alternatively, Habonim Dror Camp Naaleh offers a monthly payment option that allows tuitions to be paid in equal amounts from the date of registration until May 31, 2012.

Visiting: Visiting Day for parents is Sunday, July 22, 2011. This is the only time that parents are allowed to visit Camp Naaleh while camp is in session. Parents MAY NOT remove their child from camp on visiting day. In the event that a child has no visitors on Visiting Day, an in camp alternate visit can be arranged at the discretion of the Executive Director and the Mazkirut (head staff).

Technology: The use and reliance on technology is something that is very difficult to get away from outside of camp, but we are making every effort to maintain an insular, safe, and technology free environment at camp.  As such, cell phones and portable lap top devises are not permitted in camp. In addition, devices that support internet connectivity such as PSP’s and Nintendo DS are also not permitted. Camp does permit portable music players (mp3’s, IPods, Etc.) and small speakers, however we discourage bringing items of major monetary value as camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Getting ready for camp: All information in preparation for camp can be found in the downloadable Parent Handbook Form.
