Looking for a fun, challenging, and inspiring experience at a progressive Jewish summer camp? Join the staff of Habonim Dror Camp Na’aleh!
Our counselors, lifeguards, kitchen staff, and others are chosen for their ability to serve as role models in guiding the work and play of our campers at the same time as insuring their health and safety.
Our camp management comprises college graduates, many of whom have attended Camp Na’aleh or its Habonim Dror sister camps, and our Shaliach (Israeli Emissary). The camp director (rosh machaneh), technical director (rosh techni), educational director (rosh chinuch), and shaliach work together to provide a supportive framework for the rest of the staff.
Our counselors are college-aged adults and college graduates. Although many have participated in Camp Na’aleh Habonim Dror North America programs previously, this is not a prerequisite for working at Camp Na’aleh. A majority has spent time in Israel on Habonim Dror's summer Israel trip program (MBI) or its year-long postsecondary “Workshop” program. Our staff also sometimes include individuals from overseas sister organizations in Israel, South Africa, Australia, and elsewhere. International staff members deepen the unique experience Na’aleh campers receive.
